Worshiping Christ through Song

Imagine yourself singing Handel’s Messiah with the world famous Mormon Tabernacle Choir. All who would desire that experience are encouraged to participate in the Messiah Sing, Sunday, April 22nd at 3 pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Chapel, No. 2 Jalan 52/4 Petaling Jaya. The Easter event will celebrate the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Choir will originate the broadcast in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA , which will be posted on the Church satellite system to be rebroadcast on the date and at the time listed above.

This is the third such biennial event first held in 2014 and then again in 2016. In 2016, 43,000 views lasting 20,000 hours occurred in 95 countries.

The concert will be one hour in length and composed of highlights of the aria.

The circumstances and brilliant accomplishment of composer George Frideric Handel are detailed in an inspiring story.

The Tabernacle Choir director, Mack Wilberg, was interviewed providing additional insights of why this new edition of the oratorio was prepared and what participants might expect.

We encourage all Christians with various diverse backgrounds to explore and engage in this activity to celebrate the life and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
